Upcoming Exihibitions in June and July – Ayot Art Show, and The Big Art Fair

I am really looking forward to participating in the following events in the next few weeks, and hope some of you will be able to able to join me at one, or both of them:

Ayot Art Show

Now in its 45th year, the 2019 Art Show is held from Saturday 15 to Monday 17 June with an exclusive preview evening on Friday 14 June.

Over the years the Show has gained a reputation for attracting an impressive and eclectic range of artists.

The Art Show takes place in the beautiful Ayot St Lawrence “New Church,” a Grade I listed, Greek-style Church, (locally known as the Palladian Church), which is a work of art in itself.

The Show is open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday and 11am to 2pm on Monday.  There will be a tea stall selling an excellent selection of home-made cakes, scones and hot and cold drinks.  Entrance is just £2.00 for an adult and free for children.

The invitation-only Friday Preview evening on 14 June 2019 will, as usual, feature a band and a wine marquee, and will cost £8.00 per person, including a glass of wine, juice or Farr Brew local beer and canapés.  If you would like to request Preview Tickets please visit their website https://www.ayotartshow.co.uk/about/

Herts Big Art Fair

Herts Visual Arts are again holding their annual Big Art Fair at Hitchin Town Hall during the Hitchin Festival, and I will have a stand there, as I have for the past two years. The Big Art Fair is open to the public (free admittance) on Saturday 13th July (10am-6pm) and Sunday 14th July (10am-4pm). As always this will be an amazing collection of 2D and 3D art work by artists and artisan makers who are Herts Visual Arts members.

No tickets are needed and entry is Free of Charge on the Saturday and Sunday.

The Friday Preview Night is the official opening and sees the launch of the Open Studios brochure, as well as Big Art Fair Sponsors Choice Award certificates. With free drinks/nibbles, entry on Friday night is £2 at the door.
